Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to services provided by Cleango Cleaning Solutions, including cleaning, moving, transport, and removal services. By requesting a quote, confirming a booking, or allowing us to begin work, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under Irish consumer law. Businesses cannot exclude their legal obligation to provide services as agreed and with the required standard of care and skill.

1. About Cleango

Phone: 083 051 5565
Website: cleango.ie

Services outside our usual service area may be available by prior agreement and may involve an additional travel charge.

2. Our Services

Our services may include:

  • Commercial and office cleaning
  • Window cleaning
  • Carpet cleaning
  • Power washing
  • Commercial and residential moving
  • End-of-tenancy moving and cleaning
  • Moving and cleaning packages
  • Furniture and item transport
  • Removal and property clear-out services
  • Other services agreed in writing

The exact scope of work will be stated in your quote, booking confirmation, invoice, or other written agreement.

3. Quotes

Quotes are prepared using the information supplied by the customer, including:

  • Property type and size
  • Number and condition of rooms or surfaces
  • Item quantity and moving volume
  • Collection and delivery locations
  • Photographs supplied
  • Access, parking, stairs, or lift availability
  • Required equipment and team size
  • Requested service date and time
  • Additional or specialist requirements

Quotes remain subject to review if the information supplied is incomplete, inaccurate, or materially different from the conditions found when our team arrives.

Unless otherwise stated, a quote does not confirm a booking.

4. Pricing

Prices may be based on:

  • A fixed quote
  • An hourly rate
  • Property or area size
  • Number of rooms, windows, carpets, or items
  • Service frequency
  • Moving distance and volume
  • Required staff, vehicles, or equipment
  • Access conditions
  • Additional services

Any applicable taxes or additional charges will be identified before the service is confirmed where reasonably possible.

Additional work requested during the appointment may incur an extra charge. We will seek the customer’s approval before completing significant work outside the agreed scope.

5. Bookings

A booking is confirmed only when Cleango has:

  1. Accepted the requested date and service;
  2. Confirmed the price or pricing method; and
  3. Received any required deposit or advance payment.

Booking requests are subject to staff, vehicle, equipment, and scheduling availability.

The customer must ensure that all contact, address, access, and service information is accurate.

6. Deposits and Payments

Cleango may require a deposit or advance payment to secure certain appointments.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Deposits are applied toward the final service price.
  • The remaining balance is due on completion or by the payment date shown on the invoice.
  • Payment may be made using an accepted payment method communicated to the customer.
  • A booking is not secured until any required deposit has been received.

For commercial transactions, statutory late-payment interest may apply where an invoice is not paid by the agreed due date. Irish late-payment rules provide for interest on overdue commercial payments, although the applicable rate may change over time.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Customers should provide as much notice as possible when cancelling or rescheduling a service.

Cleango may apply a reasonable cancellation charge where:

  • An appointment is cancelled at short notice;
  • Staff, vehicles, or specialist equipment have already been reserved;
  • Travel has commenced;
  • Materials have been purchased specifically for the booking; or
  • Our team cannot access the property at the agreed time.

Any applicable cancellation fee will be communicated when the booking is confirmed or before payment is taken.

Where a consumer books a qualifying service online, by telephone, or away from business premises, statutory cancellation rights may apply. In many distance contracts, consumers have a cooling-off period, although exceptions can apply, including where the customer asks for the service to begin during that period.

When a customer requests that work begin before a statutory cancellation period ends, the customer may be required to pay for the proportion of the service already supplied if they later cancel, where permitted by law.

8. Changes or Cancellations by Cleango

We may need to reschedule, delay, or cancel a service because of:

  • Staff illness
  • Vehicle or equipment failure
  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Severe weather
  • Access problems
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Where this occurs, we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably possible and offer a new appointment or an appropriate refund for any service not provided.

We are not responsible for indirect losses caused by a reasonable delay or rescheduling outside our control, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

9. Customer Responsibilities

The customer must:

  • Provide accurate service and property information
  • Ensure access at the agreed time
  • Provide safe and reasonable parking or disclose restrictions
  • Inform us about stairs, lifts, narrow entrances, or difficult access
  • Secure children and pets away from working areas
  • Remove valuables, cash, confidential documents, and fragile personal items
  • Identify delicate, damaged, unstable, painted, sealed, or specialist surfaces
  • Disclose known hazards, including exposed wiring, structural damage, mould, chemicals, or sharp objects
  • Obtain any required landlord, building-management, or parking permission
  • Ensure suitable water and electricity access where required
  • Follow any preparation instructions supplied before the appointment

Delays or additional work caused by missing or inaccurate information may result in additional charges.

10. Cleaning Services

Cleaning results depend on factors including:

  • Surface or material type
  • Age and existing condition
  • Previous treatment or damage
  • Type and duration of stains
  • Level of dirt, grease, mould, moss, or residue
  • Access and available working time

While we aim to achieve the best reasonable result, complete stain, odour, discolouration, mould, moss, or damage removal cannot be guaranteed.

Cleaning does not restore permanently damaged, worn, faded, scratched, corroded, or deteriorated materials to a new condition.

11. Carpet Cleaning

The customer must inform us about:

  • Carpet material, where known
  • Existing stains or odours
  • Loose seams or damaged areas
  • Previous chemical treatments
  • Delicate or colour-sensitive fibres
  • Furniture that cannot be moved

Drying times vary depending on ventilation, temperature, carpet type, humidity, and the cleaning method used.

Some stains or odours may remain after treatment, particularly where they are permanent, deeply absorbed, chemically altered, or previously treated.

12. Window Cleaning

Customers must provide safe access to the windows covered by the booking.

We may decline to clean windows where:

  • Access is unsafe
  • Glass or frames are damaged
  • Suitable equipment cannot be positioned safely
  • Weather conditions create a safety risk
  • The requested work falls outside the confirmed scope

Customers should notify us in advance about fragile frames, loose seals, damaged glass, security systems, or access restrictions.

13. Power Washing

Power washing is not appropriate for every surface.

The customer must disclose:

  • Cracks or structural damage
  • Loose paving or pointing
  • Painted, sealed, coated, or recently installed surfaces
  • Fragile materials
  • Damaged walls or render
  • Nearby electrical equipment
  • Drainage restrictions
  • Sensitive plants or outdoor furniture

We may adjust the cleaning method or refuse work where the surface appears unsafe or unsuitable.

Older, damaged, loose, poorly installed, or previously weakened surfaces may deteriorate during cleaning despite reasonable care.

14. Moving and Transport Services

The customer must provide an accurate list or reasonable description of all items to be transported.

The customer must notify us before confirmation about:

  • Heavy or oversized items
  • Fragile or high-value items
  • Appliances
  • Pianos, safes, machinery, or specialist equipment
  • Furniture requiring dismantling
  • Restricted access
  • Staircases or lifts
  • Parking limitations
  • Long carrying distances
  • Storage facility requirements

Additional charges may apply where the actual volume, weight, access, distance, or work required differs materially from the information supplied.

15. Packing and Protection

Unless packing is specifically included in the quote, the customer is responsible for packing items securely before collection.

Boxes should be:

  • Properly closed
  • Strong enough for their contents
  • Clearly labelled where appropriate
  • Packed within a safe carrying weight

Fragile items should be individually protected.

We are not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packing completed by the customer, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

16. Items We May Refuse to Move or Remove

We may refuse to handle:

  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Gas cylinders
  • Explosives or flammable materials
  • Illegal items
  • Medical or biological waste
  • Asbestos
  • Unsecured liquids
  • Perishable goods
  • Animals
  • Unpackaged sharp objects
  • Items that cannot be safely lifted or transported
  • Items requiring a licence or specialist contractor

The customer must disclose the nature of any unusual or potentially hazardous items before booking.

17. Valuables and Important Items

Customers should personally transport:

  • Cash
  • Jewellery
  • Passports
  • Legal documents
  • Financial records
  • Keys
  • Medication
  • Electronic data
  • Irreplaceable items
  • Items of exceptional sentimental or financial value

Any especially valuable or fragile item must be identified and agreed in writing before the service.

18. Removal and Disposal

Removal services cover only the items approved in the quote or booking.

The customer confirms that they own the items or have authority to arrange their removal.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Unreported items
  • Increased volume
  • Heavy items
  • Special disposal requirements
  • Restricted or hazardous materials
  • Additional loading time

Cleango may refuse any item that cannot be transported or disposed of safely or lawfully.

19. Access and Waiting Time

The customer must ensure that our team can access the property at the agreed time.

Additional waiting-time charges may apply where delays arise because:

  • Keys are unavailable
  • The customer or authorised person is late
  • Building access has not been arranged
  • Parking has not been made available
  • Lifts or loading areas cannot be used
  • Other contractors prevent access

Where access cannot be obtained within a reasonable time, the booking may be treated as a late cancellation.

20. Parking, Tolls and Additional Expenses

The customer must tell us about parking restrictions before the service.

Where reasonably incurred in completing the agreed work, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Parking charges
  • Tolls
  • Permit fees
  • Congestion or access charges
  • Storage charges
  • Disposal fees
  • Additional travel outside the agreed service area

These charges will be included in the quote where known or added to the final invoice where they could not reasonably be calculated beforehand.

21. Inspection and Reporting Issues

Customers should inspect the completed work or delivered items as soon as reasonably possible.

Any concern should be reported promptly, with:

  • A clear description of the issue
  • Relevant photographs
  • The service date
  • The property or booking details

Where a service does not meet the agreed standard, Cleango should be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, correct the issue. Irish consumer guidance recognises that a service provider should generally be allowed to rectify a non-conforming service within a reasonable period and without significant inconvenience.

22. Damage and Liability

Cleango will take reasonable care while providing services.

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Hidden defects
  • Structural weaknesses
  • Damage caused by unsuitable or unstable materials
  • Customer packing failures
  • Incorrect instructions
  • Undisclosed hazards
  • Losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence.

Our obligations to consumers cannot be removed through an unfair or misleading contract term. Consumer terms must be transparent and must not create a significant imbalance against the consumer.

23. Complaints

Complaints should be sent to:

Email: hello@cleango.ie
Phone: 083 051 5565

Please include the booking details, service date, description of the concern, and relevant photographs.

We will review complaints and respond within a reasonable period.

24. Website Information

We take reasonable care to keep information on cleango.ie accurate and current.

However:

  • Website descriptions are general
  • Images may be illustrative
  • Availability may change
  • Starting prices are not final quotes
  • Service details may vary according to the property or project

A written quote or booking confirmation takes priority over general website content where they differ.

25. Intellectual Property

The website content, branding, graphics, layout, photographs, and written materials belong to Cleango Cleaning Solutions or are used with permission.

They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or commercially used without prior written permission.

26. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how long it may be retained, and the rights available to individuals.

27. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather
  • Road closures
  • Traffic incidents
  • Utility failures
  • Equipment breakdown
  • Public emergencies
  • Industrial action
  • Government restrictions
  • Building-access restrictions

We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and rearrange the service where practical.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to our services, pricing practices, website, or legal obligations.

The version applicable to a confirmed booking will normally be the version provided or available when the booking was accepted, unless a change is required by law or agreed by both parties.

30. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without affecting any mandatory rights available to consumers.
